Now that the weather is really hot, I’m of the school of thought that less makeup should be used by people who have oily skin. Today I would be sharing with you what natural product you can use to control your oily skin. The funny thing is these products are everywhere and very affordable. Before we talk about the natural products that can be used to control oily skin I would want to explain what are the causes of oily skin?
Oily skin is caused by the accumulation of excess oil on the outer skin and this can lead to whiteheads, pimples and other skin irritations. Oily skin can also be caused by genetics, dietary choices, too much stress or hormonal change in the body due to puberty. Women are more prone to the oily skin during menstrual cycles, pregnancy or menopause. Oily skin can be a bit difficult to manage but I have compiled a list of inexpensive and effective natural products that you can use to manage your very delicate skin.
TOMATOES: This fruit is very good for an oily skin because it contains cooling, clarifying and astringents properties. It also contains natural oil-absorbing acids that help get rid of excess oil in the skin. You can make a face mask by combining three tablespoons of tomato juice and one tablespoon of honey.#
APPLES: Apples contain mild antiseptic, astringent and soothing properties that make them a good home remedy for oily skin. The malic acid in apples helps exfoliate dead skin cells and absorbs excess oil from the skin’s surface. Grate an apple and place the shreds on your skin for 15 minutes remove and then rinse off with lukewarm water.
APPLE CIDER VINEGAR: This solution contains antibacterial properties good for acnes that are caused by a combination of oily skin and bacteria. To use mix one-fourth cup of apple cider vinegar with a three-fourth cup of distilled water. Apply the mixture to your skin with cotton wool and leave for 10minutes. Rinse off with cold water.
